  • This online application is for screening purposes only – this is no way guarantees you an adoption from RRNW.
  • Please bear in mind that the majority of our rescued Ragdolls are adult cats between the ages of 4 and 10 years. We very rarely get kittens, and we have never yet had a purebred kitten in the rescue.
  • The information you provide on this application will assist Ragdoll Rescue NW in making the best match possible between you and the cats available through Ragdoll Rescue NW. Please be complete and answer all questions to the best of your knowledge. The questions here are significant in placing and in finding a match.
  • If there is no phone number given, this application will be considered void.
  • Applications are retained on file for 6 months, after which you must resubmit a new application.
  • Thank you for your interest in adopting a Ragdoll Rescue NW cat or kitten. After you have fully completed the application below and we have received it, one of our volunteers will contact you if we have the cat or kitten that might be a match for you. If no cats are available, you will be placed on our waiting list and contacted by email or phone when a suitable cat become available.

RRNW Terms of Agreement:

1. I agree to contact RRNW if I can no longer keep this cat.    Yes:

2. I agree to make a note in my will which states that, if the adopted cat outlives me, my executor will ensure that either a) the cat is safely returned to RRNW or b) the cat is moved to an RRNW-approved home. Yes:

3. I agree that the adopted cat will reside in my home as a pet. I will provide it with quality food, plenty of fresh water, affection, annual examination and vaccinations by a licensed veterinarian. I agree to keep the adopted cat(s) strictly indoors (due to the gentle nature of the breed and inability to defend itself, Ragdolls are never to be outside).    Yes:

Ragdoll Rescue NW Policies: We do require an adoption donation for cats placed in new homes to help recover our expenses. The adoption donation varies for young healthy cats and purebreds, and possibly reduced donations for elderly cats and domestics. Your donation helps cover the costs of items such as spaying/neutering, vet-checking, vaccinations, and de-worming. We support senior for senior adoptions. We cannot adopt to anyone under 18. This preliminary screening application will remain on file for 6 months. RRNW reserves the right to refuse any applicant. This online application is for screening purposes only, which in no way guarantees you an adoption from RRNW. Applicants must be willing to sign and agree to our legal contract in order for an adoption to take place.
